The people that lived in the castle had very high dining standards as seen in the following rules:


Rule:                                                                                            
 1. No one shall take food before the blessing                                  

2. Nor should he take a place other than that assigned                     
to him by the one in-charge of the meal                                             

3. Refrain from eating until the dishes have been placed                     
before you                                                                                                                                          
 4. Once a morsel has been touched it shall not be returned               
to the plate                                                                                      

5. Do not touch ears or nose with bare hands                                   

 6. Do not clean teeth with a sharp iron                                             

 7. Salt is not to be touched with food where it sits in the salt             
dish                                                                                                

8. If you can, I ask again, refrain from belching at the table                

9. Know that it is forbidden to put elbow on table                              

10. It is ordered by regulation to no put a dish in mouth                    

11. He who wishes to drink must finish what is in his mouth,            
and let his lips be wiped first                                                           

12. Nor can I avoid mentioning that he should not gnaw on a bone with his teeth

13. Once the table is cleared, wash hands and have a drink
